ST. LOUIS – People wanting to provide input on the St. Charles Rock Road (Route 180) safety improvement project from I-170 to west of I-270 will get their chance next week. The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the St. Ann Community Center located at #1 Community Center Drive, St. Ann, MO 63074.

Some of the proposed improvements from this pavement project include:

  • Pavement resurfacing and new pavement markings along the corridor
  • Upgrading the existing state-owned sidewalk to meet ADA requirements
  • Improving aging signalized intersections along the corridor

No formal presentations will be made during the open house-style hearing. The public may stop by at any time during the advertised hours and speak with MoDOT and consultant staff about the project.

Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback by completing a comment form in writing or providing a recorded statement. In addition, a virtual public hearing will be available online at tinyurl.com/NorthCountyProjects from July 1 to July 12.
