LEE’S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation will REDUCE westbound Interstate 470 to ONE LANE between View High Drive and Pryor Road beginning at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, until approximately 5 p.m. that evening. This lane reduction is for pavement repairs. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find an alternate route if necessary. Review KC Scout cameras along this area to review potential traffic impacts here. Above all, please be patient and considerate to your fellow motorists. Use the zipper merge and take turns at the merge point. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
