Motorists should be prepared for delays along U.S. Route 40 in Boone and Howard counties as a resurfacing and shoulder improvement project resumes on Tuesday, June 26. Lane closures will begin at the intersection of Route 40 and Missouri Route 5 as crews begin paving three-foot shoulders, working their way to Interstate 70 at Midway.
Work will take place between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. daily. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone. The entire project is scheduled for completion in October.
