MoDOT to Close Interstate 44 at St. Mary's Road Overnight June 28-29

ST. LOUIS – A stretch of Interstate 44 in Franklin County will be closed overnight later this week so crews can set girders for the new St. Mary’s Road bridge over the interstate.

Crews will close one lane on westbound I-44 at Route 100 (Washington) on Thursday, June 28 at 7 p.m. Then all lanes of westbound I-44 will close on Friday, June 29 at 1 a.m. The interstate will reopen by 4 a.m. Drivers can detour around the closure by taking Route 100 (Washington) to Route AT to Route 50 and back to I-44.

Then on Friday, June 29 at 7 p.m. crews will close one lane on eastbound I-44 at Route O with all lanes closing on Saturday, June 30 at 1 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 4 a.m. Drivers can detour around that closure by taking Route O to Route AT to I-44.

All work is weather permitting.
