Route F in Oak Grove to CLOSE Overnight July 11 for Bridge Work
OAK GROVE – The Missouri Department of Transportation continues work on bridge improvements in Oak Grove and has scheduled a complete closure of Route F over I-70 OVERNIGHT on July 11 from 10 p.m to 7 a.m. Crews will be pouring a new bridge deck. Traffic will be prohibited from crossing the bridge however limited access to I-70 will remain. At the south end of the bridge, motorists will only have eastbound I-70 access. At the north end of the bridge, motorists will only have westbound I-70 access.
For motor carriers who need to access the truck stops, the north truck stop is accessible for westbound I-70 and the south stop will be accessible for I-70 eastbound traffic.
All work is weather dependent.
This closure is part of an extensive bridge project to convert the traditional diamond interchange to a diverging diamond interchange. The new DDI will increase left-turn capacity, improve traffic operation and reduce the number of crashes on Route F. In addition to the improvements to the bridge and traffic, the ramps onto I-70 will be lengthened to allow improved merging onto the interstate.
