MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, July 16th, work will begin again on U.S. Route 63 in Boone and Randolph Counties with the resurfacing project. The project begins 0.60 mile south of Missouri Route 22 in Boone County to 0.40 mile north of Randolph County Route EE at Moberly.
A few weeks ago work initially began with full depth pavement repairs. Now the project will pick up again with a thin layer of asphalt being laid for a new surface.
Chester Bross of Palmyra, Missouri will complete the project. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone while the work is completed. Signs are already in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through this area, and obey all work zone signs and personnel. Remember always buckle up and put your phone down to eliminate distractions.
