Pavement Repair to Begin on Route 5 in Camden and Laclede Counties

LACLEDE COUNTY – A nighttime pavement repair operation will begin the week of Monday, July 16 on Missouri Route 5 between Missouri Routes 7 and 64 in Camden and Laclede counties.

Work will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each weekday. During the work, motorists will encounter lane closures along Route 5 between Routes 7 and 64. Contractors will flag traffic through the work zones. During Labor Day weekend, work will be suspended on the project and all lanes will be open. Work will resume on Tuesday, September 4. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by early November of 2019.

The project will also include a pavement overlay of Route 5 within the curb and gutter section north of Route 64 in the fall. MoDOT will notify the public of the start of this work via electronic message boards, a press release, and social media.

Drivers are asked to slow down, use caution, and obey all construction signs and flaggers when they encounter pavement repair crews.

The contractor for this project is Chester Bross Construction Co. of Palmyra.
