Interstate 70 in Montgomery County Will Undergo Bridge Deck Repair at the Loutre River Bridge

MACON – Weather permitting, July 18-19, Interstate-70 Westbound in Montgomery County will have the driving lane closed for bridge deck repair at the Loutre River Bridge, located west of Danville, back to the Missouri Route 161 interchange. The work will be performed at night beginning at 8:00 p.m. on July 18th and will reopen at 5:30 a.m. on July 19th.  If needed to complete the work, the lane will then close again at 8:00 p.m. on July 19th and reopen at 5:30 a.m. on July 20th.  The truck parking area will also be closed during these times.

“This bridge deck is deteriorating and needing repairs,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Erik Maninga. “This project will help extend the life of the bridge, until its replacement next year,” he added.

Concrete Strategies LLC of St. Louis, Missouri, was awarded the contract in the amount of $294,750.

Changeable message boards will be used to notify motorists of future traffic impacts.
