The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of July 23 - August 3, 2018. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B between Business Loop 70 and Brown Station Road – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk improvements are nearing completion.
* Asphalt work will take place south of Hallsville the week of July 23, Occasional lane closures are possible in the work area.
Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
* Resurfacing operations on the west end of the project will take place the week of July 23. Concrete work is also planned at Booth Lane and Trails West. One lane will be open, and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 22 and Route EE in Randolph County – Roadway resurfacing in the northbound lanes is underway. One northbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route J between Route 40 and Route 124 – Roadway paving will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Callaway County

Route 54 Bridge Improvements
Here is a look at traffic impacts currently in place near the U.S. Route 54 bridge improvement project:
* Guard cable installation on the eastbound and westbound Route 54 from Holts Summit to Route HH in Fulton
* Bridge rehabilitation work on the eastbound Route 54 bridge over Stinson Creek. One eastbound lane of Route 54 will be closed through the work area.
These traffic impacts are scheduled until the end of July.

Route A between Interstate 70 and Route B – Pavement patching will take place Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route B between Route 54 and the Montgomery County line – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Guardrail installation at the Harrison Branch bridge will take place the week of July 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Route E between Route DD and Old Route 54 – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk upgrades continue.
* Resurfacing west of Auxvasse will take place the week of July 23. In addition, sidewalk work continues in the city of Auxvasse. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Route A between Route I-70 and Route B – Pavement patching will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements are underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.
Camden County

Route 5 between Route 7 and Beauty Road – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Striping operations will take place the week of July 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues.
* Paving operations will take place from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. each weekday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route O between Route 54 and Rooffner Road – Pavement repair will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, August 2. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guard rail replacement and bridge repair continues.
* The project is in its third stage, which includes rehabilitation of the westbound Route 54 bridges over Stadium Boulevard and Broadway Street and work on the Route 54 on-ramp from the Madison Street bridge.
*During the work, westbound Route 54 is reduced to one lane 24 hours a day from north of Broadway to south of Stadium.
* The Route 54 on-ramp from Madison Street is closed during the work.
The work on Westbound Route 54 and Madison Street exit is scheduled for completion in early August.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 17 between Route 54 and Route 52 Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.
* Concrete replacement will take place just north of the Saline Creek bridge the week of July 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge replacement is underway.
* Grading operations will take place the week of July 23. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected.
* The removal of the Route 87 overpass bridge over I-70 will begin on July 27. I-70 will be closed in both directions at 10 p.m. that night and re-opened by 5 a.m. on Monday, July 30. During the closure, I-70 traffic will be detoured onto the exit and entrance ramps at the interchange, while there will be no access to Interstate 70 from Route 87.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route U over Petite Saline Creek, south of Debo Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route BB between Route A and Morgan Street – Sidewalk improvements continue. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected.
Crawford County

Route 19 between Route 8 and Route 49 – Drainage repair will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, August 2. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 49 between Route V and Route Y in Iron County – Drainage repair will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, August 2. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route E between Route 8 and Cave Road – Drainage repair will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, August 2. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route F between Route 19 and Route EE – Pavement patching will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route M between Route 8 and Route VV – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, August 2. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Interstate 44 North Outer Road between Route F and the Phelps County line – Paving will take place Tuesday, July 24 through Thursday, July 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Dent County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route F over Dry Fork Creek, south of Route NN – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists should use the signed detour around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

Route 32 between Route 72 and Route 63 in Texas County – Roadway microsurfacing continues.
* Striping and surface repair operations are scheduled for the week of July 23. One lane will be open and crews will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
Route 119 between Route 32 and County Road 6670 – Roadway microsurfacing continues.
* Striping and surface repair operations are scheduled for the week of July 23. One lane will be open and crews will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
Gasconade County

Route 19 between Route 28 and Route 50 – Shoulder addition and asphalt paving continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 100 between Route 19 and Route N – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life continues the week of July 23. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. Howard County

Route 40 between Route 5 and Route UU in Boone County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.

Route U between Route 3 and Route H – Roadway paving will take place Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Laclede County

Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues.

* One lane of the eastbound bridge over Smith and Tater Hollow near mile marker 172.8 will be closed on July 25. The lane will remain closed until September.
* The westbound exit ramp at mile marker 172 is closed for bridge repair work on the ramp. The ramp will re-open in mid-August. Motorists are advised to use the signed detour routes around the ramp closure.
* Paving operations in the eastbound lanes will continue the week of July 23. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August, 2019.

Route 32 between Route 5 and Route 17 in Texas County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route C between Interstate 44 and Route 5 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
