JACKSON/CLAY COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation has extended the work schedule for the Buck O’Neil Bridge rehab project. Crew will continue to close the northbound left lane of the Buck O’Neil (Broadway) Bridge from 5:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. daily through Saturday, July 28 for bridge rehab work. There’s a potential for the schedule to be extended even longer, but that hasn’t been determined yet. We will keep you posted.
This is all part of a rehabilitation project on the Buck O’Neil Bridge in which all southbound lanes of the structure are closed. Those lanes will remain closed through Saturday, December 1. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
