Route 74/Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane in each direction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform approach work.
The Emerson Bridge goes over the Mississippi River into Illinois located between Fountain Street and Levee Road.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, July 30 and Tuesday, July 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
