KANSAS CITY – Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the two outside lanes of westbound I-435 from the Blue River Bridge to Holmes Road from 7 p.m. on July 26 and will not reopen until 5a.m. on July 27. The contractor will be repairing a piece of the bridge deck on the 104th Street Bridge.
This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project that will replaces the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitates the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, and upgrades the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
