Expect Traffic Delays as Part of Bridge Rehabilitation Project on

Route 13 in Henry & St. Clair Counties Beginning Week of August 6

Henry/St. Clair Counties – Drivers using Missouri Route 13 in Henry and St. Clair counties can expect delays and lane closings when a project to rehabilitate the driving surface of three bridges begins the week of August 6, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will rehabilitate portions of the decks of these three bridges:

  • Southbound Route 13 bridge over Deepwater Creek south of Clinton
  • Southbound Route 13 bridge over Menson Creek south of Clinton
  • Northbound Route 13 bridge over Otter Creek north of Lowry City

Traffic impacts:

  • Beginning the week of August 6, expect lane closings and traffic delays
  • Motorists can expect a reduced speed limit of 55 mph through the work zones
  • At least one lane will be open at all times
  • Most work will be done during daytime hours, Monday through Friday. However, some work may occur on weekends

Weather and/or unforeseen delays will alter the work schedule.

Project information:

  • Prime contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, Jefferson City
  • Total project cost: $941,000
  • Contract completion date: Dec. 1, 2018 (Traffic is expected back in its original lanes by the end of October)
