Traffic Shifts Overnight will Slightly Alter Exit to Holmes Road from I-435 Westbound
KANSAS CITY – Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will shift traffic overnight Aug. 1 along I-435 as part of the ongoing project in the area. In particular, motorists will notice the exit from I-435 westbound to Holmes Road will begin near the 104th Street Bridge. Posted message boards, striping and other traffic control options will be included to direct motorists. This altered exit will be in place for a few months.
This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project that will replaces the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitates the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, and upgrades the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
