The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of August 6 - August 17, 2018. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between Route 63 and Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) – Pavement leveling in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Sunday, August 5 through Thursday, August 9. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.
Route BB over Interstate 70 – Bridge rehabilitation and ramp repair is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 9.
* The eastbound entrance and exit ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. on Thursday, August 9 until 5 a.m. on Friday, August 10. The ramps will temporarily reopen then close again for pavement repair from 7 p.m. on August 10 until 5 a.m. on Monday, August 13.
* One eastbound and one westbound lane of I-70 will close during the nighttime hours the week of August 13 for repairs to the Route BB overpass.
* The westbound entrance and exit ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. on Thursday, August 16 until 5 a.m. on Friday, August 17. The ramps will temporarily reopen then close again for pavement repair from 7 p.m. on August 17 until 5 a.m. on Monday, August 20.
The full project is scheduled for completion in October.
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
* Temporary traffic signals will be installed on either side of the Bonne Femme Creek bridge, west of County Road 461, for bridge rail rehabilitation and guardrail installation on Monday, August 6. One lane of the bridge will be closed until September.
* Resurfacing operations are nearing completion. Widening work is planned for the intersections of Booth Lane, Trails West Avenue and Midway Road. Entrances at other side roads are scheduled to be paved. One lane will be open, and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area.
The project is scheduled to be completed in October.

Route 63 between Route 22 and Route EE in Randolph County – Roadway resurfacing in the northbound lanes continues. One northbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route O between Interstate 70 and Grocery Branch Road – Roadway paving will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Interstate 70 and Route J – Guardrail installation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues the week of August 6. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open in the work area.

Route A between Interstate 70 and Route B – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route B between Route 54 and the Montgomery County line – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.
Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues.
* Paving operations will take place the week of August 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guard rail replacement and bridge repair continues.
* Cold milling and resurfacing operations will take place in the eastbound lanes between Missouri Boulevard and the Missouri River Bridge during the overnight hours. One eastbound lane will be closed with occasional closures of entrance and exit ramps.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 17 between Route 54 and Route 52 Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.
* Concrete replacement will take place just north of the Saline Creek bridge the week of August 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route B between Route 179 and Route 133 in Osage County – Ditch work will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge replacement is continues. Route 87 is closed, but exit and entrance ramps connecting to I-70 remain open.
* Route 87 north of I-70 is scheduled to close for two weeks beginning Monday, August 13 as the roadbed will be raised.
* Occasional overnight lane closures are possible on I-70 for construction of the new bridge.
* Grading operations will take place the week of August 6. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 135 between Route M and the Pettis County line – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route BB between Route A and Morgan Street – Sidewalk improvements continue. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected.
Crawford County

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 19 between Route P and the Gasconade County line – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route DD between Route 19 and Evans Road – Roadway resurfacing is scheduled to begin the week of August 6. One lane will be open, and flagging crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Route ZZ between Interstate 44 and Route 19 – Roadway resurfacing is scheduled to begin the week of August 6. One lane will be open, and flagging crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Interstate 44 North Outer Road between Route F and the Phelps County line – Paving will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Dent County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route F over Dry Fork Creek, south of Route NN – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists should use the signed detour around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Route 32 between Route 72 and Route 63 in Texas County – Roadway microsurfacing continues.
* Striping and surface repair operations are scheduled for the week of August 6. One lane will be open and crews will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
Route 68 between Route 32 and the Phelps County line – Roadside work will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 119 between Route 32 and County Road 6670 – Roadway microsurfacing continues.
* Striping and surface repair operations are scheduled for the week of August 6. One lane will be open and crews will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
Route B between Route 19 and Route 72 – Roadside work will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route E between Route 119 and Route K – Roadside work will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route H between Route 72 and Phelps County line – Roadside work will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route K between Route 19 and the Shannon County line – Roadside work will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route OO between Route O and County Road 2010 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Gasconade County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Route 28 and Route 50 – Shoulder addition and asphalt paving continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route C between Route B and Route 28 in Maries County - Pavement patching will take place Wednesday, August 8 and Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Howard County
Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route 5 and Route UU in Boone County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
* Temporary traffic signals will be installed on either side of the Bonne Femme Creek bridge, west of County Road 461, for bridge rail rehabilitation and guardrail installation on Monday, August 6. One lane of the bridge will be closed until September.

Route H over Salt Fork Creek, south of County Road 204 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues.
* Paving operations will take place the week of August 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement will begin on Monday, August 13. The road is currently closed.
* Blasting operations will take place the week of August 13. The operations will result in occasional temporary lane closures on eastbound I-44 between mile markers 142.8 and 143.6.
* Grading and drainage work will take place the week of August 13.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Work on the westbound climbing lane extension at mile marker 171.8 continues the week of August 6. The lane will be closed until late August.
* Work continues on the eastbound bridge over Smith and Tater Hollow between mile markers 171 and 173. One eastbound lane is closed in the work area until September. The eastbound I-44 entrance ramp from Route D (Jerome) will also be closed during the work.
* Asphalt paving in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place the week of August 6.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August, 2019.

Interstate 44 between Elm Street and Route 133 – Pavement repair in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 5 between Route C and Farmer’s Lane – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August.
Route 32 between Route 5 and Route 17 in Texas County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route FF between Route 133 and Route T – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route JJ between Route F and Route T – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Maries County

Route 28 between Route 63 and Interstate 44 in Pulaski County – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life continues. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 42 between Route 63 and Route 17 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing, shoulder addition, and guardrail installation continue.
* One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 42 over the Gasconade River, east of County Road 335 – Bridge scour repair continues. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected. The project is scheduled for completion in late August.
Route E between the end of state maintenance and Interstate 44 in Phelps County - Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route EE between Route 28 and County Road 407 - Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 and Tuesday, August 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Miller County

Route A over Tavern Creek, east of Route PP – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Interstate 44 at Route V – Pavement milling on the eastbound exit ramp will take place on Tuesday, August 7. The ramp will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the area.
Route E between Interstate 44 and the end of state maintenance in Maries County – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route V between Interstate 44 and Route 68 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Pulaski County
