T.R. Hughes Ramp to Westbound I-70 to Close Permanently

Relocated Ramp to Reopen Later this Year

ST. LOUIS – The T.R. Hughes ramp to westbound I-70 closes at 2 p.m. TODAY as part of the I-70 and Route K Traffic Flow Improvement project. The ramp will not reopen in its current location. A new, relocated ramp will open later this year.

The ramp closure was scheduled for later in the project but is being closed now for safety due to the short merge drivers coming onto westbound I-70 currently have.

Drivers can detour around the ramp closure by either taking the I-70 North Outer Road (East Terra) to Route K or taking Mexico to Route K.  Please allow yourself extra time while using these detour routes as the extra traffic could cause delays.

For more information on the I-70 and Route K Traffic Flow Improvement Project, being done in conjunction with the City of O’Fallon, please visit the project website at https://www.ofallon.mo.us/i-70-improvements-project
