JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing the right lane of both east and westbound Interstate 70 near Crysler Avenue this week. These lane closures are for shoulder work and pavement operations. There will be impacts to traffic so motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find an alternate route if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
- Westbound I-70 will have a right lane closure near Crysler Avenue beginning at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9.
- Eastbound I-70 will have a right lane closure near Crysler Avenue beginning at 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
