The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of August 13-24, 2018. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Overnight Hours
Route BB over Interstate 70 – Bridge rehabilitation and ramp repairs continue.
* The eastbound entrance and exit ramps will be closed for pavement repair from 7 p.m. on Friday, August 10 until 5 a.m. on Monday, August 13.
* One eastbound and one westbound lane of I-70 will close during the nighttime hours the week of August 13 for repairs to the Route BB overpass.
* The westbound entrance and exit ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. on Thursday, August 16 until 5 a.m. on Friday, August 17. The ramps will temporarily reopen then close again for pavement repair from 7 p.m. on August 17 until 5 a.m. on Monday, August 20.
The full project is scheduled for completion in October.
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
* Resurfacing operations are nearing completion. Widening work is planned for the intersections of Booth Lane, Trails West Avenue and Midway Road. Entrances at other side roads are scheduled to be paved. One lane will be open, and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area.
The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 22 and Route EE in Randolph County – Roadway resurfacing in the northbound lanes continues. Contractors will begin rumble strip installation on Saturday, August 18. One northbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route O between Interstate 70 and Grocery Branch Road – Roadway paving will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Interstate 70 and Route J – Guardrail installation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues the week of August 13. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open in the work area.
Daylight Hours
Route B between Route 54 and the Montgomery County line – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.
Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues.
* Paving operations continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guardrail replacement and bridge repair continues.
* Cold milling and resurfacing operations will take place in the eastbound lanes between Missouri Boulevard and the Missouri River Bridge during the overnight hours. One eastbound lane will be closed with occasional closures of entrance and exit ramps.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 17 between Route 54 and Route 52 Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.
* Concrete replacement will take place just north of the Saline Creek bridge the week of August 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge replacement is underway. Route 87 is closed, but exit and entrance ramps connecting to I-70 remain open.
* Route 87 north of I-70 is scheduled to close for two weeks beginning Monday, August 13 as the roadbed will be raised.
* Occasional overnight lane closures are possible on I-70 for construction of the new bridge.
* Grading operations will take place the week of August 13. A signed detour will be in place.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 135 between Route M and the Pettis County line – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route AA between Route B and Route H – Pavement overlay will take place Wednesday, August 22 and Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route BB between Route A and Morgan Street – Sidewalk improvements continue. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected.
Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 19 between Route 8 and Route 49 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 49 over Dry Creek, north of Dan Halbert Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 49 between Route V and Route Y – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route M between Route 8 and Route VV – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route M between Route 8 and Route YY – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route UU between Interstate 44 and Argo Road – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Dent County
Daylight Hours
Route 32 between Route 72 and Route 63 in Texas County – Roadway microsurfacing continues.
* Striping and surface repair operations are scheduled for the week of August 13. One lane will be open and crews will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
Route 32 between Route P and Route EE – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, August 13 through Wednesday, August 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 119 between Route 32 and County Road 6670 – Roadway microsurfacing continues.
* Striping and surface repair operations continue week of August 13. One lane will be open and crews will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
Route OO between Route O and County Road 2010 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Gasconade County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Route 28 and Route 50 – Shoulder addition and asphalt paving continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Howard County
Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route 5 and Route UU in Boone County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.

Route U between Route 3 and County Road 251 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 20 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues.
* Paving operations will take place the week of August 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement will begin on Monday, August 13. The road is currently closed.
* Blasting operations will take place the week of August 13. The operations will result in occasional temporary lane closures on eastbound I-44 between mile markers 142.8 and 143.6.
* Grading and drainage work will take place the week of August 13.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Work on the westbound climbing lane extension at mile marker 171.8 continues the week of August 13. The lane will be closed until late August.
* Work continues on the eastbound bridge over Smith and Tater Hollow between mile markers 171 and 173. One eastbound lane is closed in the work area until September. The eastbound I-44 entrance ramp from Route D (Jerome) will also be closed during the work.
* Asphalt paving in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place the week of August 13.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Interstate 44 between Elm Street and Route 133 – Pavement repair in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 5 between Route C and Farmer’s Lane – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August.
Route 32 between Route 5 and Route 17 in Texas County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 32 between Route U and Route 17 in Texas County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route T between Route 44 and Route JJ – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 13 and Tuesday, August 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route FF between Route 133 and Route T – Pavement patching will take place Wednesday, August 15 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 28 between Route 63 and Interstate 44 in Pulaski County – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life continues. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 28 between Route 63 and County Road 322 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 42 between Route 63 and Route 17 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing shoulder addition, and guardrail installation continue.
* One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route T between Route 42 and Route AA – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Miller County

Route 17 between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.

Route 42 between Route 17 and Route 63 in Maries County – Roadway resurfacing, shoulder addition, and guardrail installation continue.

Route A between Route 17 and Route 42 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route M between Route 87 and Saline Road – Pavement milling will take place Tuesday, August 14 through Thursday, August 23. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Moniteau County

Route E between Route 50 and Route CC – Pavement overlay will take place Monday, August 20 and Tuesday, August 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route F between Route 87 and Route E – Pavement overlay will take place Wednesday, August 15 and Thursday, August 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route MM between Route F and Route Flag Spring Road – Pavement overlay will take place Monday, August 13 and Tuesday, August 14. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Morgan County

Route BB over Middle Richland Creek, south of Self Chapel Road – Bridge replacement is nearing completion. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
