The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of August 27-September 7, 2018. Scheduled lane closures will not take place on Monday, September 3 for the Labor Day Holiday. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
* Side road entrance paving and shoulder grading will take place the week of August 27. Curb installation will also take place west of the I-70 interchange. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
Route BB over Interstate 70 – Bridge rehabilitation and ramp repairs continue. The bridge is closed. Route BB traffic is being detoured by using Routes 179, J and O. Entrance and exit ramps will remain open through much of the project, but may close for resurfacing near the end of the project. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route 63 between Route 22 and Route EE in Randolph County – Roadway resurfacing in the northbound lanes is nearing completion. One northbound lane will be open through the work area.
Route UU between Route 40 and Route O – Paving will take place Tuesday, September 4 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Route A between Interstate 70 and Route B – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route B between Route 54 and the Montgomery County line – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Striping operations will take place the week of August 27. Motorists are advised to follow signs and flaggers as the operation takes place. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Route H between Route J and Business Route 54 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route NN between Business Route 54 and County Road 435 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.
Route 54 Outer Road between Route NN and Park Ridge Drive – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Jefferies Road and Passover Road – Core drilling in the westbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, August 28. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.
Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guardrail replacement and bridge repair continues.
* Cold milling and resurfacing operations will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Stadium Boulevard and the Missouri River Bridge during the overnight hours. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be closed with occasional closures of entrance and exit ramps.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 17 between Route 54 and Route 52 Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 50 between Jefferson Street and Monroe Street – Pavement patching in the eastbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, August 28. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.
Route 179 between Route 54 and Moniteau Creek Road in Moniteau County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route J between Route 50 and Fourth Street – Pavement repair will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route U between Route C and Route NN – Pavement repair will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge replacement is underway. The bridge is closed, but all exit and entrance ramps connecting to I-70 remain open. Signed detours are in place.
* Occasional overnight lane closures and traffic delays are possible on I-70 for construction of the new bridge.
* Grading operations, base rock installation, resurfacing of Route 87 and the westbound entrance and exit ramps and culvert extension work will continue the week of August 27.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route AA between Route B and Route H – Partial pavement overlay will take place Monday, August 27 and Tuesday, August 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Crawford County

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, August 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 19 between Route 8 and Route 49 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 49 over Dry Creek, north of Dan Halbert Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route C between Interstate 44 and Route 19 – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, August 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route M between Route 8 and Route VV – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route BB between Route 8 and Westover Road – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route DD between Route 19 and Evans Road – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Route EE between Route F and Route 28 in Gasconade County – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Gasconade County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Route 28 and Route 50 – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life continues. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route EE between Route 28 and Route F in Crawford County – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Howard County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route 5 and Route UU in Boone County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.

Route U between Route 3 and County Road 232 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, August 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route V between Route 3 and Route 5 in Chariton County – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, August 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement is underway. The road is currently closed.
* Blasting, grading and clearing operations will take place the week of August 27. Traffic on I-44 may be slowed during the work.
* A causeway will be built to haul material from the west side of the Gasconade River to the east side. This will restrict navigational traffic on the river after Labor Day weekend.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Work continues on the eastbound bridge over Smith and Tater Hollow between mile markers 171 and 173. One eastbound lane is closed in the work area until September. The eastbound I-44 entrance ramp from Route D (Jerome) will also be closed during the work.
* Asphalt paving in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues the week of August 27.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Interstate 44 between Elm Street and Route 133 – Pavement repair in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 5 between Route C and Farmer’s Lane – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 32 between Route 5 and Route 17 in Texas County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Maries County

Route 42 between Route 63 and Route 17 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing, shoulder addition, and guardrail installation continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route A between Route 17 and Route PP – Pavement patching will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route H between Route 17 and Marys Home Road – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route M between Route 87 and Saline Road – Pavement overlay will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, August 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Moniteau County

Route 87 between Route O and Big Sky Road – Pavement repair will take place Wednesday, September 5 and Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 179 between Bacon Bridge Road and Factory Creek Road – Partial pavement overlay will take place Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 179 between Moniteau Creek Road and Route 54 in Cole County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, August 27 through Thursday, September 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Morgan County

Route BB over Middle Richland Creek, south of Self Chapel Road – Bridge replacement is complete. Occasional lane closures are possible during the week of August 27.
Phelps County

Route D over the Burlington Northern/Sante Fe Railroad, east of Interstate 44 – Bridge replacement continues. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
