Various Lane and Ramp Closures Along Portion of I-49 Beginning Aug. 24

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various lane and ramp closures along north and southbound Interstate 49 beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24. These ramp and lane closures are for paving work. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find an alternate route if necessary. All work is weather permitting.

  • Northbound I-49 will be reduced to one lane between 163rd Street and Blue Ridge Blvd. on both Friday, Aug. 24, and Saturday, Aug. 25, from 6:30 p.m. each evening until noon the following day.
  • Southbound I-49 will be reduced to one lane between Blue Ridge Blvd. and 163rd Street on both Friday, Aug. 24, and Saturday, Aug. 25, from 7 p.m. each evening until noon the following day.
  • The ramp from northbound I-49 to MO Route 150 CLOSED beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, until noon the following day.
  • The ramp from MO Route 150 to southbound I-49 will be CLOSED beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, until noon the following day.
  • The ramp from southbound I-49 to 155th Street will be CLOSED beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, until noon the following day.

Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
