ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Routine repairs to U.S. Route 169 (Belt Highway) will impact St. Joseph traffic next week. Local maintenance crews plan to mill sections of the Belt Highway and hand patch potholes between Karnes Road and Pear Road. They’ll begin at Karnes and proceed south. They will work daylight hours, Monday through Thursday. The work may take a week or more to complete.
Due to the nature of this moving operation, motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution and stay alert for intermittent lane closures all week. The two most important things you can do to protect yourself and roadway workers: buckle up and put your phone down.
All scheduled roadwork is weather permitting and subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
