The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of September 10-21, 2018. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
* Side road entrance paving, rumble strip installation and shoulder grading will take place the week of September 10. Curb installation will also take place west of the I-70 interchange. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
Route BB over Interstate 70 – Bridge rehabilitation and ramp repairs continue. The bridge is closed. Route BB traffic is being detoured by using Routes 179, J and O. Entrance and exit ramps will remain open through much of the project, but may close for resurfacing near the end of the project. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
Overnight Hours
I-70 between mile marker 121 and mile marker 122– Pavement repair in the eastbound lanes will take place on Friday, September 14. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area. The Route 40 eastbound entrance ramp will be closed from 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 22 and Route 124 – Pavement milling in the southbound lanes will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 13. One southbound lane will be open through the work area.
Route UU between Route 40 and Route O – Paving will take place Monday, September 17 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Route PP between Route 94 and Route BB – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.
Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guardrail replacement and bridge repair continues.
* Surface sealing, lighting, bridge painting and pavement marking will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Stadium Boulevard and the Missouri River Bridge during the overnight hours. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be closed with occasional closures of entrance and exit ramps.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 17 between Route 54 and Route 52 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening is nearing completion. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 179 between Route 54 and Moniteau Creek Road in Moniteau County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route N between Route 179 and Route NN – Pavement repair will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route NN between Route U and Route N – Pavement repair will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge replacement is underway. The bridge is closed, but all exit and entrance ramps connecting to I-70 remain open. Signed detours are in place.
* Steven Kole Court will be closed to traffic the week of September 10 as part of work south of I-70. Motorists will be detoured over a temporary bypass to Klinton Drive.
* Occasional overnight lane closures and traffic delays are possible on I-70 for construction of the new bridge.
* Grading operations, base rock installation, resurfacing of Route 87 and the westbound entrance and exit ramps and culvert extension work will continue the week of September 10.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 87 between Route D and Spice Creek Drive in Moniteau County – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, September 10. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 135 between Route A and the Pettis County line – Partial pavement overlay will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Crawford County

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 19 between Route 8 and Route 49 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route F between Interstate 44 and Willie Road – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route M between Route 8 and Route YY – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route BB between Route 8 and Westover Road – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route DD between Route 19 and Evans Road – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life is scheduled to begin the week of September 10. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route 28 and Route 50 – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life continues. Pavement marking and guardrail operations are scheduled for the week of September 10. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route EE between Route 28 and Route F in Crawford County – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life is scheduled to begin the week of September 10. Howard County

Route 40 between Route 5 and Route UU in Boone County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.

Route V over Doxies Creek, west of County Road 265 – Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 10. The road will be closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route 5 and Route 187 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.
Route U between Route 3 and County Road 247 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 17 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed.
* Grading and clearing operations will take place the week of September 10. Traffic on I-44 may be slowed during the work. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Asphalt paving in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues the week of September 10. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Daylight Hours
Interstate 44 between Elm Street and Route 133 – Diamond grinding in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 between Route 63 and Route 17 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing, shoulder addition, and guardrail installation continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route M between Route 89 and County Road 716 in Osage County – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route T between Route 42 and Route AA – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, September 17 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Miller County

Route 54 over Little Gravois Creek, west of Route V – Bridge deck rehabilitation in the westbound lanes will begin on Monday, September 10. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route 87 between Derby Lake Road and Gamble Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Tuesday, September 18 and Wednesday, September 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 179 between Moniteau Creek Road and Route 54 in Cole County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, September 10 through Thursday, September 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
