Webster and Douglas Counties – Drivers can expect one-lane traffic and crews and equipment on Webster County Route OO, Webster County Route NN, Webster/Douglas Route BB and Webster County Route C as contractor crews resurface the four state routes at various times between the week of Sept. 24 and late October, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
All four routes will receive new asphalt driving surfaces and in areas new guardrail will be installed.
During the road work, drivers can expect slowed and possibly stopped traffic with flaggers directing them through work zones.
Crews also will use pilot vehicles to lead traffic through the work areas. Drivers on side roads should wait for the pilot vehicle before entering roadways where the resurfacing work is taking place.
Here’s a look at the project schedule:
- Week of Sept. 24: Webster County Route OO resurfaced between Webster County Route B near Northview and Route 38 in Marshfield. If crews finish another project in Taney and Ozark counties, they may start the work on Webster County Route OO late in the week of Sept. 17.
- Late in week of Sept. 24: Webster County Route NN resurfaced between Route 60 and end of state maintenance near Diggins. Work should only take a day or two.
- Week of Oct. 1: Webster/Douglas County Route BB resurfaced between Webster County Route K in Seymour and Route 14 north of Ava.
- Week of Oct. 1: Webster County Route C resurfaced between Route 60 in Seymour and Route 38 east of Marshfield.
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
Journagan Construction of Springfield will do the work, for a low bid amount of $2.4 million.
The work is scheduled to be completed by late October.
