Interstate ramp closures planned

ROCK PORT, Mo. – Resurfacing is planned for the interchange ramps at Interstate 29 and U.S. Route 136 at Rock Port on Friday, Sept. 14 and Monday, Sept. 17. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Chester Bross Construction Company to resurface I-29 from the Iowa state line to Route 11, including ramps within that area.

Crews plan to narrow the ramps during daylight hours Friday and Monday. The ramps will remain open during the work, but motorists will experience delays. There is the possibility of work continuing into Tuesday, Sept. 18. All work is weather permitting and subject to change.

MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
