Nevada – Area residents are invited to learn more about a project to improve sidewalks along Austin Boulevard (Missouri Route 54) and Osage Boulevard (Business Loop 49) in Nevada at a public meeting on Thursday, Sept. 27, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Nevada Community Center, 200 N. Ash Street. The meeting will be come-and-go style with NO formal presentation.
MoDOT representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the project’s timeline and traffic impacts.
Those unable to attend the public meeting but wishing to comment on the project may submit their comments to swcr@modot.mo.gov.
The project will upgrade sidewalks to conform to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The total estimated project cost is $3.5 million, with the project completed by the winter of 2019/2020.
