MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, September 24, Wildcat Drive over Interstate 70 in Warren County will be reduced to one lane while a bridge rehabilitation project is completed. The project will consist of replacing the expansion joints on the bridge. The contractor will have 45 calendar days to complete this bridge.
Crews will be completing the project during night time hours, and traffic is going to be one lane with flaggers present. Both lanes will be open during the day. There may be times when a complete closure is needed throughout the project, but we will share that information once we know when they will occur.
Once Wildcat Drive is complete, the contractor will move to Warren County Route F for a similar project over I-70. This project will also be completed at night and will have a lane closure, with both lanes open during the day. The contractor has 45 days to complete this bridge.
Lehman Construction of California, Missouri, was awarded these projects at a total cost of $385,855.
“These bridges were beginning to see deterioration, so replacing the expansion joints will extend the life of the bridges” said MoDOT Area Engineer Erik Maninga, P.E.
