JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of September 24-October 5, 2018. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.
Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route BB over Interstate 70 – Bridge rehabilitation and ramp repairs continue. The bridge is closed. Route BB traffic is being detoured by using Routes 179, J and O. Entrance and exit ramps will remain open through much of the project, but may close for resurfacing near the end of the project. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route 63 between Route 22 and Route 124 – Pavement milling in the southbound lanes will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One southbound lane will be open through the work area.
Route UU between Route 40 and Route O – Paving will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Route J between Route 54 and Route F – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.
Interstate 70 Outer Road between Route HH and County Road 257 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, October 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Daylight Hours
Route J over the Niangua River, south of Nonsuch Road – Bridge inspection will take place on Tuesday, October 2. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.
Route O between Route 54 and Rooffner Road – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route U between Route 54 and Whistle Road – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guardrail replacement and bridge repair continues.
* High friction surface treatment and lighting operations will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Stadium Boulevard and the Missouri River Bridge during the overnight hours. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be closed with occasional closures of entrance and exit ramps.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 54 over Route 50 – Bridge maintenance in the westbound lanes will take place Sunday, September 30 through Thursday, October 4. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.
Daylight Hours
Route 17 between Route 54 and Route 52 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route 54 over the Missouri River – Bridge inspection in the westbound lanes will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 24. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.
Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge replacement is underway. The bridge is closed, but the ramps on the north side of the interchange are open. Signed detours are in place.
* Steven Kole Court is closed to traffic as part of work south of I-70. Motorists will be detoured over a temporary bypass to Klinton Drive.
* Nancy Potter Road is scheduled to be closed for approximately two weeks at Route 87, beginning Sunday night, September 23. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.
* The eastbound I-70 entrance and exit ramps and the south portion of Route 87 are scheduled to be closed for approximately two weeks, beginning Sunday night, September 23, as the ramps and roadway are tied into the new bridge.
* Occasional overnight lane closures and traffic delays are possible on I-70 for construction of the new bridge.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Interstate 70 between mile marker 109.6 and mile marker 109.8 – Traffic counter sensor installation in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Tuesday, September 25 and Wednesday, September 26. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.
Crawford County

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route P between Route C and Lantz – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route DD between Route 19 and Evans Road – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life is scheduled to begin the week of September 24. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route EE between Route F and Route 28 in Gasconade County – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life is scheduled to begin the week of September 24. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Route WW between Essman Dunn Road and the Interstate 44 North Outer Road in Franklin County – Ditch repair will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Gasconade County

Route 19 between Route 28 and Route 50 – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life continues. Pavement marking and guardrail operations are scheduled for the week of September 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route K between Route 50 and Helds Island Road – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, October 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route U between Route 3 and County Road 247 – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route V between Route 3 and Route 5 in Chariton County – Pavement patching will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
* Asphalt paving in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues the week of September 24. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed.
* Blasting operations will take place the week of September 24. The blasting will take place between 1 and 3 p.m. each day. During the blasting, a rolling road block will be in place to guide eastbound and westbound traffic on I-44.
* Grading and clearing operations will take place the week of September 24. Traffic on I-44 may be slowed during the work.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.
Daylight Hours
Interstate 44 between mile marker 111 and mile marker 123 – Shoulder repair in the eastbound lanes will begin on Monday, September 24. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.
Interstate 44 between Elm Street and Route 133 – Pavement repair eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
* Striping operations will continue the week of September 24. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route C over Peavine Creek, west of County Road 417 – Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, September 25 and Wednesday, September 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route T between Route 42 and Route AA in Osage County – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route V between Route 42 and Route N – Pavement repair will take place Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Little Gravois Creek, west of Route V – Bridge deck rehabilitation in the westbound lanes continues. One westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.
Route 54 over Wrights Creek, east of Copperhead Road – Bridge deck rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes will begin on Monday, September 24. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

Route 17 between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Route H between Route 17 and Mary’s Home Road – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
Moniteau County

Route 5 between Route 50 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Microsurfacing and guardrail replacement will begin on Tuesday, September 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.
Route 87 between Molly Branch Road and Union Ford Road – Brush chipping will take place on Monday, September 24. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 87 between Route C and McCarty Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, September 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Business Route 50 between Gerhart Road and Industrial Road – Pavement milling will take place on Wednesday, September 26 and Thursday, September 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Morgan County

Route B over the Bourbeuse River, north of County Road 1400 – Bridge replacement continues. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
Route D over the Burlington Northern/Sante Fe Railroad, east of Interstate 44 – Bridge replacement continues.
* Route D is closed for the construction of tie-ins to the new bridge. The road will be reopened in early October. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
