KANSAS CITY – Crews have set multiple lane closures for next week as part of the I-435 South Loop Link project currently underway between State Line and the Three Trails Crossing. All of the closures are currently scheduled for overnight hours. All work is weather dependent.
Monday, Sept. 24 and Tuesday, Sept. 25: Crews will be pouring concrete on eastbound I-435 and will CLOSE the eastbound outside through lane and auxiliary lane from State Line to Wornall Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. both Monday and Tuesday night.
Wednesday, Sept. 26: Crews will be pouring concrete on eastbound I-435 between Wornall Road and Holmes Road and will CLOSE the eastbound outside through lane and auxiliary lane from Wornall Road to Holmes Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Thursday, Sept. 27: Crews will be pouring concrete on eastbound I-435 east of the Holmes Road on-ramp and will CLOSE the eastbound right two lanes from Holmes Road to just west of the104 St bridge from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Friday, Sept. 28: Crews will be pouring concrete on the westbound Wornall Road on-ramp and on westbound I-435 between Wornall Road and State Line Road and will CLOSE the westbound right lane and auxiliary lane from Wornall Road to State Line Road from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project that will replaces the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitates the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, and upgrades the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
