ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – While one ramp closure happened yesterday, the other three closures are postponed one day. The closures are part of an ongoing resurfacing project on Interstate 229. Contractors from Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, now plan to close the remaining three ramps at the Interstate 229 and Interstate 29 interchange south of St. Joseph on the following schedule:
- I-229 southbound to I-29 northbound – Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2 to 4 p.m.
- I-29 southbound to I-229 northbound – Thursday, Sept. 27, 4 to 6 a.m.
- I-29 northbound to I-229 northbound – Friday, Sept. 28, 4 to 6 a.m.
All scheduled work is weather permitting and subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
