Highways and Transportation Commission Awards Improvement Projects in Phelps County

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission today awarded improvement projects on four Phelps County roads.

N.B. West Contracting was awarded a contract for chip-seal improvements in the following areas:

  • Route Y between Route E and County Road 8440.
  • Route CC between Route 63 and County Road 7140.
  • Route HH between Route E and County Road 8360.

The contract also includes resurfacing and guardrail installation on the Interstate 44 Outer Road (Arlington Road) between Doolittle and the Gasconade River. The low bid for the contract was $999,121.

Work on each project will take place in the summer of 2019. When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media.
