Emergency Repairs Being Made to Railroad Overpass at High Hill

Eastbound Interstate 70 will be one lane

HANNIBAL - The Norfolk Southern Railroad will be making repairs to the High Hill overpass in Montgomery County that bridges Interstate 70 near mile marker 179 on Monday, October 8 beginning at 8 a.m.  During the repairs, which will take place under the bridge on the right side, eastbound I-70 will be one lane to safely allow the contractor to make repairs to the bridge overpass.  In addition, there will be an 11 ft. width restriction in the work area.  The railroad has indicated the repairs are temporary until a permanent fix can be completed.

The overpass was damaged in an incident last Monday evening.
