Update for Week of October 8
- Outside lanes of northbound and southbound lanes closed on Glenstone Avenue between Lombard and Page Streets until week of Oct. 15 – DELAYS OCCURRING
- Southbound U.S. Route 65 to Kearney Street (Missouri Route 744) off ramp CLOSED 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10
- Eastbound I-44 to southbound U.S. Route 65 ramp CLOSED 10 p.m. to midnight, Wednesday, Oct. 10
Work Scheduled:
- Removing and grading pavement of outside lanes of Glenstone Avenue between Lombard and Page Streets
- Rebuilding entrances and sidewalks at Lombard and Page Streets
- Paving shoulders on eastbound I-44 to southbound U.S. Route 65 ramp
- Paving shoulders on southbound U.S. Route 65 to Kearney Street (Missouri Route 744) ramp
- Paving shoulders on southbound Route 65 between Valley Water Mill Road and westbound I-44 ramp
Traffic Impacts:
- Outside lanes of Glenstone Avenue closed in each direction between Lombard and Page Streets until week of Oct. 15
- One lane open in each direction
- No left turns from Glenstone Avenue
- Business entrances closed in areas
- Delays are expected
- Drivers urged to avoid area unless visiting businesses
- Southbound U.S. Route 65 to Kearney Street (Route 744) ramp CLOSED 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10
- Eastbound I-44 to southbound Route 65 ramp CLOSED 10 p.m. to midnight, Wednesday, Oct. 10
- Traffic reduced to one lane on southbound Route 65 between Valley Water Mill Road and westbound I-44 on ramp midnight to 6 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 11

Project Summary:
- Rebuilding the deteriorating, 1950’s-era concrete pavement on Glenstone Avenue in four separate locations
- At Kerr/Evergreen Street south of I-44 - COMPLETE
- At Kearney Street - COMPLETE
- At the railroad underpass north of Commercial Street - COMPLETE
- Between Lombard Street and Page Street
- Building pedestrian crossing across railroad tracks between Lombard and Page streets
- Total Project Cost: $3.7 million
- Overall Completion Date: November 1, 2018
