Road Work for Mid-Missouri

October 15-26, 2018

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of October 15-26, 2018.  Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight Hours
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
       * Asphalt overlay work between Route 5 and Salt Creek is scheduled for the week of October 15. Rumble strip installation and striping is also scheduled during the week.

Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 22 and Route 124 – Pavement milling in the southbound lanes will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18. One southbound lane will be open through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue.
       * Pavement repair work continues the week of October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.


Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Route MM over the Lake of the Ozarks, west of Business Route 54 – Bridge maintenance will take place Wednesday, October 17 through Friday, October 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Broadway Street and Stadium Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing, pavement repair, guardrail replacement and bridge repair continues.  
       * Lighting operations will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes in the Tri-Level area during the overnight hours. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be closed with occasional closures of entrance and exit ramps. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Overnight Hours
Route 50 Outer Road between Business Route 50 and Country Club Drive – Pavement repairs to the roadway and adjoining entrance and exit ramps are scheduled to begin on Monday, October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 17 between Route 54 and Route 52 in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge replacement continues. The bridge is closed.
      * Lane closures in the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 are possible the week of October 15. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route DD over Flat Creek, west of Route K – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y in Iron County – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Y between Route V and Route 49 in Iron County – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route DD between Route 19 and Evans Road – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life. Chip seal work is complete, with repair work and striping planned for the week of October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route DD between Route 19 and Evans Road – Ditch repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Wednesday, October 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route EE between Route F and Route 28 in Gasconade County – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life. Chip seal work is complete, with repair work and striping planned for the week of October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route FF between the Interstate 44 South Outer Road and Rock Road – Ditch repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Wednesday, October 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route HH between Route 19 and Ollie Coleman Road – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route WW between Essman Dunn Road and the Interstate 44 North Outer Road in Franklin County – Ditch repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Wednesday, October 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route ZZ between Interstate 44 and Route 19 – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life. Chip seal work is complete, with repair work and striping planned for the week of October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Interstate 44 South Outer Road between Route FF and Route D in Franklin County – Ditch repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Wednesday, October 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Gasconade County
Daylight Hours
Route EE between Route 28 and Route F in Crawford County – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life. Chip seal work is complete, with repair work and striping planned for the week of October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 


Howard County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
       * Asphalt overlay work between Route 5 and Salt Creek is scheduled for the week of October 15. Rumble strip installation and striping is also scheduled during the week.

Route V over Doxies Creek, west of County Road 265 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The work is scheduled for completion in December.

Route V between County Road 257 and Snoddy Street – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, October 18. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours

Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
       * Rumble strip installation in the eastbound lanes and pavement grooving in the westbound lanes is schedule to take place the week of October 15. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues.  The road is currently closed.
       * Blasting operations will take place the week of October 15. The blasting will take place between 1 and 3 p.m. each day. During the blasting, a rolling road block will be in place to guide eastbound and westbound traffic on I-44.
       * Grading and clearing operations will take place the week of October 15. Traffic on I-44 may be slowed during the work. 
The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Interstate 44 between mile marker 111 and mile marker 123 – Shoulder repair in the eastbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.

Interstate 44 between Elm Street and Route 133 – Pavement repair eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
       * Striping operations will continue the week of October 15. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route C between Route 5 and Route CC – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life is underway. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route J between Athens Road and Navaho Drive – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, October 15. The road will be closed from 6 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route CC between Route C and the Webster County line – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life is underway. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between County Road 302 and Ball Park Road in Osage County – Shoulder maintenance will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Route 42 and Route AA in Osage County – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 over Little Gravois Creek, west of Route V – Bridge deck rehabilitation in the westbound lanes continues. One westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.

Route 54 over Wrights Creek, east of Copperhead Road – Bridge deck rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

Route 17 between Route 52 and Route 54 in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route H between Route 17 and Marys Home Road – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route H between Route 17 and Jim Henry Road – Culvert pipe replacement and repair in various locations will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 50 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Microsurfacing and guardrail replacement continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.

Route 50 between Route 5 South and Route 5 North in Morgan County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route T and the Cole County line – Brush chipping will take place Tuesday, October 16 through Thursday, October 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O between Route D and Route H – Culvert pipe maintenance will take place on Monday, October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 52 and Route 50 in Moniteau County – Microsurfacing and guardrail replacement continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.

Route 50 between Route 5 North and Route 5 South in Moniteau County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route 5 and the Benton County line – Microsurfacing is scheduled to begin the week of October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route D between Route JJ and Route PP – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route AA between Carriage Lane and Third Street – Ditch repair will take place on Monday, October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Osage County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Ball Park Road and County Road 302 in Maries County – Shoulder maintenance will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route A between Route 50 and Route C – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement life. Chip seal work is complete, with repair work and striping planned for the week of October 15. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route T between Route AA and Route 42 in Maries County – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route D and Route 133 in Laclede County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
       * Rumble strip installation in the eastbound lanes and pavement grooving in the westbound lanes is schedule to take place the week of October 15. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Route B over the Bourbeuse River, north of County Road 1400 – Bridge replacement continues. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route D over the Burlington Northern/Sante Fe Railroad, east of Interstate 44 – Bridge replacement is nearing completion. The bridge is currently open, with additional work planned for the week of October 15 which may result in occasional lane closures.

Route 68 between Route 8 and County Road 3560 – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route F between Route 68 and Route 72 – Culvert pipe repair in various locations will take place Monday, October 15 through Friday, October 26. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route J over Spring Creek, south of Route M – Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Route 63 and Western Road – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P over Mill Creek, west of County Road 7530 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Eisenhower Street and Lee Street – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Interstate 44 and Route M – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 in Laclede County and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing continues.
       * Rumble strip installation in the eastbound lanes and pavement grooving in the westbound lanes is schedule to take place the week of October 15. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between mile marker 151 and mile marker 153 – Pavement repair in the westbound lanes will take place Sunday, October 14 through Thursday, October 18. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route U between Route 17 and Black Oak Road – Pavement repair will take place Monday, October 22 through Thursday, October 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route E between Route 21 and Route CC – Pavement repair will take place Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
