JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various lane closures along east and westbound Interstate 70 near Lee’s Summit Road on both Wednesday, Oct. 17, and Thursday, Oct. 18. Eastbound work will take place from 7:30 p.m. each evening to 6 a.m. the following morning. Westbound work will take place each evening from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. These closures are for bridge work. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
