HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, October 31, the South Fabius River bridge on U.S. Route 61 in Marion County, north of Palmyra, will reopen after being closed for deck rehabilitation work. Northbound traffic will shift back to the original northbound lanes, and preparations will begin for the removal of the temporary crossovers.
The removal of the crossovers could take several weeks. Southbound and northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane during the entire duration of the removal. Work is scheduled to take place between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday each week.
