St. Louis Work Zones for November 1-7

Weekend Ramp and Lane Closures This Weekend on Poplar Street Bridge

ST LOUIS – Drivers heading into Illinois this weekend on Interstate 55 will need to find an alternate route. Crews will close the ramp from northbound I-55 onto the Poplar Street Bridge on Friday, November 2 at 7 p.m.

In addition, two eastbound lanes on I-64 on the Poplar Street Bridge will close starting at 7 p.m. and two lanes westbound I-64 on the Poplar Street Bridge will close at 8 p.m. The ramp from Illinois Route 3 to westbound I-64 will also be closed starting at 8 p.m.

The closed ramps and lanes will reopen by Monday, November 5 at 6 a.m.

There’s no snow in the forecast but drivers are urged to be on the lookout for MoDOT salt trucks and snow plows next week as crews do a dry run for winter weather. Crews will be out around the St. Louis District on Wednesday, November 7 and Thursday, November 8 during off-peak hours to run their winter routes. Please use caution when driving near the trucks, give them plenty of room and do not try to pass or tailgate the trucks.
