Overnight Lane, Ramp Closures on I-435 Between 3 Trails Crossing to State Line for Next Week

KANSAS CITY – Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled multiple lane and ramp closures for next week, Nov. 5 through 9. All work is overnight for concrete paving and is weather dependent. Closures include:

  • Monday, Nov. 5: Crews will CLOSE the eastbound Holmes Road on ramp from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov.  6: Crews will CLOSE the right two lanes of eastbound I-435 from Wornall Road to 104th St Bridge and the eastbound Holmes Road on ramp from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 8: Crews will CLOSE the right two lanes of eastbound I-435 from State Line to halfway between Wornall and Holmes Roads, and the eastbound Wornall exit ramp from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Friday, Nov, 9:Close the right lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line to near Wornall Road exit and close the State Line on-ramp from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project that will replaces the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitates the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, and upgrades the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
