JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various inside lane closures along northbound and southbound Interstate 470 between the Lakewood/Bowlin interchange and the 39th Street interchange beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning. These lane closures will allow crews to seed the median and other areas that were exposed from the recently completed bridge work in the area. All work is weather permitting.
Use the zipper merge method at the merge points. Take turns. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
