HANNIBAL – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded to Chester Bross Construction nearly 50 miles of resurfacing projects on two contracts spanning locations on four routes in Marion County.
The contract for the first three projects below, let in combination, was awarded for $5,498,037:
- Interstate 72, resurfacing and diamond grinding from U.S. Route 61 to Mississippi River.
- U.S. Route 36, eastbound lane, resurfacing from west of Monroe City to east of Route H.
- U.S. Route 36, eastbound lane, resurfacing from 1.8 miles east of U.S. Route 24/61 to U.S. Route 61
In addition, another contract for $6,870,636 was awarded for U.S. Route 24/61, eastbound and westbound lanes, resurfacing from 0.3 miles north of Route F to 3 miles east of U.S. Route 61. Work on each project will take place in 2019. When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media.
