Closed ramp near Route 210 and I-435 set to reopen

CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to reopen the now closed southbound I-435 off-ramp to eastbound Route 210 beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov 14. The reopening is contingent upon the newly poured concrete curing overnight. If the concrete does not set, the off-ramp will open later in the day. Crews closed the ramp due to a large pothole, which caused pavement issues. All work is weather dependent.

As a reminder, this is a work zone in which crews have shifted southbound I-435and Route 210 traffic to the northbound I-435 lanes in a head-to-head configuration, causing that stretch of roadway to be narrow.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
