ST. LOUIS – Drivers throughout the St. Louis region should be aware of winter weather moving into the area tonight that will bring heavy snowfall that will affect tomorrow’s morning commute.
MoDOT crews are planning to be fully staffed with more than 200 plow trucks ready to go from 7 p.m. tonight into tomorrow afternoon.
“The National Weather Service is predicting heavy wet snow for the most of the duration of this storm. Our crews will work diligently throughout the night, but there will be snow on the roads during tomorrow’s morning commute. If you have to travel, please slow down and use caution, especially through work zones,” said District Maintenance Engineer Bob Becker.
Motorists are encouraged to pay close attention to weather conditions, slow down and give themselves extra time to travel. MoDOT trucks will be in full force so please give them plenty of room to work. For information on road conditions across the state, safe traveling tips, and other winter weather information, please visit www.modot.org.
