Road Work for Mid-Missouri

November 19-November 30, 2018

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of November 19-30, 2018. Scheduled maintenance and construction activities will not take place Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route UU and Route 5 in Howard County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
       * Excavation, base work and asphalt overlay will take place the week of November 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled to be completed in the winter.

Daylight Hours
Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) between Route 63 and Route TT – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, November 19 through Friday, November 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route Z between Route OO and Business Route 124 – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, November 26 through Friday, November 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue.
       * Asphalt paving operation will take place during the daytime and overnight hours the week of November 19. Sidewalk work continues during the daytime hours. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. Significant delays in traffic are expected during this operation.
The project is scheduled for completion in December.


Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in late November.

Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Route KK and East Valley Drive – Pavement improvement and J-Turn installation is underway. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Route 54 between Key Largo Road and Route 242 in Miller County – Roadway sweeping in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Monday, November 19 and Tuesday, November 20. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.


Cole County
Overnight Hours
Route 50 Outer Road between Business Route 50 and Country Club Drive – Pavement repairs to the roadway and adjoining entrance and exit ramps continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Interstate 70 and Route J – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, November 19 through Wednesday, November 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Dent County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Route JJ and Route TT – Brush cutting will take place Monday, November 19 through Friday, November 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 40 between Route 5 and Route UU in Boone County – Resurfacing and shoulder improvements continue.
       * Excavation, base work and asphalt overlay will take place the week of November 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled to be completed in the winter.

Route V over Doxies Creek, west of County Road 265 – Bridge replacement is nearing completion. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 87 County Road 312 and County Road 338 – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, November 19 through Friday, November 30. The work will take place from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day, with occasional full closures of the roadway. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route 124 between Route 240 and County Road 410 – Tree trimming will take place Monday, November 19 through Wednesday, November 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Y between Route 124 and County Road 135 – Tree trimming will take place Monday, November 19 through Friday, November 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours

Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues.  The road is currently closed.
       * Grading and clearing operations will take place the week of November 19. Traffic on I-44 may be slowed during the work. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in late November.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54, east of Route 87 – Bridge deck rehabilitation in the eastbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late December.

Route 54 over Wrights Creek, east of Copperhead Road – Bridge deck rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

Route H between Route 17 and Jim Henry Road – Culvert pipe replacement and repair in various locations will take place Monday, November 26 through Friday, November 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Porter Road and Rock Hole Road – Brush cutting will take place Monday, November 26 through Friday, November 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Business Route 54 between Route 54 and Route CC – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, November 19 through Wednesday, November 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 50 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Microsurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late November.

Route 50 between Ferguson Avenue and Sunrise Road – Shoulder repair will take place Monday, November 19 and Tuesday, November 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Carney King Road and Fahrni Road – Brush chipping will take place on Monday, November 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 52 and Route 50 in Moniteau County – Microsurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late November.

Route 52 between Route 5 and the Benton County line – Microsurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

Route D between Route JJ and Route PP – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, November 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Honey Do Lane and Wolf Run Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, November 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route W between Route 5 and Route Y – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, November 19 through Wednesday, November 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Osage County
Daylight Hours
Route 100 between Route 89 and Chamois Power Plant Road – Shoulder repair continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-December.

Route DD between Route U and County Road 610 – Pavement repair will take place Monday, November 19 through Friday, November 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B over the Bourbeuse River, north of County Road 1400 – Bridge replacement continues. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between mile marker 176 and mile marker 184 – Concrete repair in the westbound lanes continues. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route BB (Tenth Street) between Forum Drive and Stoltz Road – Sidewalk repair continues. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight Hours
Route N between Route 133 and Crocker Road – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place on Tuesday, November 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route 185 between Route 8 and the Franklin County line – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, November 19 through Wednesday, November 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
