PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be extending the schedule of its double lane closure that is currently in place along southbound Interstate 635 just before Horizons Parkway near Argosy Casino. It will remain there until approximately 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21. At that time, crews plan to open all lanes. This lane reduction is for barrier wall and bridge deck repairs from a crash that previously occurred in the area. This double lane closure was supposed to be removed on Monday, Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. but has been extended. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and leave early. Expect delays. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
