JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various lane closures along eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 in the vicinity of Crysler Avenue on both Monday, Nov. 26, and Tuesday, Nov. 27. These lane closures are for bridge work and moving equipment. Motorists should plan ahead, leave early, and use an alternate route if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
- Beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning, crews will close the right most lane of both eastbound and westbound I-70 in the vicinity of Crysler Avenue for bridge work. At 8 p.m., crews will have a double lane closure in this area.
- On Tuesday, Nov. 27, beginning at 8 p.m., crews will close the two left lanes of eastbound and westbound I-70 at Crysler Ave. until 6 a.m. the following morning for bridge work.
Use the zipper merge method at the merge points. Take turns. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
