Lane Closures Scheduled for I-70 Near Crysler Ave. and Phelps Rd. on Dec. 10 and 11

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various lane closures along eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 in the vicinity of both Crysler Ave. and Phelps Rd. on both evenings of Monday, Dec. 10, and Tuesday, Dec. 11. These lane closures are for work along the Crysler Ave. and Phelps Rd. bridges over I-70. Motorists should plan ahead, leave early, and use an alternate route if necessary. All work is weather permitting.

  • Beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, eastbound I-70 will have a single left lane closure beginning in the vicinity of Crysler Ave. to Phelps Rd. A double left lane closure will be in place in that area beginning at approximately 8 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.
  • Beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, westbound I-70 will have a single left lane closure beginning in the vicinity of Phelps Rd. to Crysler Ave. A double left lane closure will be in place in that area beginning at approximately 8 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.

Use the zipper merge method at the merge points. Take turns. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
