KANSAS CITY -- The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the two left most lanes along westbound Interstate 435 from Grandview Rd. to State Line Rd. beginning at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. These lane closures are for restriping the expressway pavement and median work. All work is weather permitting.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project that will replaces the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitates the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, and upgrades the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
