KANSAS CITY -- The Missouri Department of Transportation be conducting a variety of construction operations along east and westbound Interstate 435 beginning on Sunday, Dec. 16, until approximately Saturday, Dec. 21. The work will involve various lane and ramp closures. All work is weather permitting.
- Sunday, Dec. 16
- Crews will close the ramp from State Line Road onto eastbound I-435 beginning at 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
- Crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-435 near State Line Road 435 beginning at 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
- Monday, Dec. 17
- Crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-435 at Wornall Road 435 beginning at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
- Crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-435 at Blue River Road beginning at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
- Tuesday, Dec. 18
- Crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-435 at Wornall Rd. beginning at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
- Crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-435 at Blue River Road beginning at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
- Crews will close the ramp from Wornall Rd. onto eastbound I-435 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Wednesday, Dec. 19
- Crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-435 near the Holmes Rd. on ramp from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Crews will also close the on ramp from Holmes Road onto eastbound I-435 beginning at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to restripe the ramp.
- Thursday, Dec. 20
- Crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-435 at Wornall Rd. from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 21
- Crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-435 at Wornall Rd. from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Crews will close the ramp from Wornall Rd. onto eastbound I-435 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project that will replaces the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitates the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, and upgrades the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
