MACON – The night of Tuesday, December 18th, Interstate 70 will close in both directions at Missouri Route 161/Route J in Montgomery County for construction operations, including the installation of guardrail and removal of temporary barriers along I-70, under the newly constructed MO 161 bridge.
During the I-70 closure, all traffic at Danville will be re-routed over the on and off ramps of I-70, and the outer roads will be closed as well to prevent access to and from I-70.
The closure will begin at 8:00 p.m. the night of December 18th, and will reopen at 5:30 a.m. the morning of December 19th. Message boards will be in place notifying motorists of the upcoming closure.
