Road Work for Mid-Missouri

December 24, 2018 - January 4, 2019

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of December 24, 2018 – January 4, 2019.   Scheduled maintenance and construction activities will not take place on Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday, and on Tuesday, January 1, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight Hours
Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) between Route 63 and Route TT - Pavement repairs to the roadway and adjoining entrance and exit ramps continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Business Route 54 between Route 54 East and Route 54 West – Sidewalk and ADA improvements continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-January.


Daylight Hours
Route 54/63 over the Missouri River – Bridge inspection in the westbound/southbound lanes will take place Wednesday, December 26 and Thursday, December 27. One westbound/southbound lane will be open through the work area. The westbound Route 54 entrance ramp from Route W and the westbound exit ramp to Main Street will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the closures.

Route AA between Route 54 and Route 94 – Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 7 and Route 64 in Laclede County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in late December.

Route 54 between Route KK and East Valley Drive – Pavement improvement and J-Turn installation continues. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.
         *J-Turns will be installed between Key Largo Road and West Valley Road. Guard cable will be installed between Route 5 and Key Largo Road. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.


Cole County
Overnight Hours
Route 50 Outer Road between Business Route 50 and Country Club Drive – Pavement repairs to the roadway and adjoining entrance and exit ramps continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route T between Route J and Hopewell Road – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. The work will take place from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day, with occasional full closures of the roadway. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route U between Route B and Route J – Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Y between Route 179 and Dietzel Lane – Sidewalk construction and upgrades continue. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area.


Crawford County

Route 19 between Route 8 and Route VV - Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y - Ditch repair will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 19 and Colonial Woods Road - Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route J between Gerth Road and the Franklin County line - Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y - Ditch repair will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Y between Route V and Route 49 in Iron County - Ditch repair will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route ZZ between Route 19 and McLeod St - Pavement milling in the southbound lanes will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28. One southbound lane will be open through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between County Road 312 and County Road 340 – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route H over Salt Fork Creek South of County Road 204 – Bridge maintenance will take Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Y between Route 124 and County Road 138 – Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues.  The road is currently closed.
          *Grading and clearing operations will take place the week of December 26. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.

Route 5 between Route 64 and Route 7 in Camden County – Guardrail installation and replacement and pavement repair continues. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in late December.


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 68 between Route P and County Road 431 – Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF between Route 63 and County Road 523 – Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Isleworth Avenue and Osage Hills Road - Core drilling operations will take place from Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route H between Jim Henry Road and Sele Road - Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, December 31 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Pin Oak Road and Saline Road - Edge rut repair will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Monday, December 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Moniteau County

Route 179 between Route Y and Boxwood Drive - Culvert pipe replacement will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route C between Church Road and Route - Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, December 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Pine Road and Route CC - Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, January 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route C between Church Road and Route CC in Moniteau County - Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, December 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Pine Road and Route CC in Moniteau County- Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, January 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route J between Tierra Lane and Web Road - Ditch repair will take place on Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B over the Bourbeuse River, north of County Road 1400 –Bridge construction continues. Much of the work will take place off the roadway. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area.

Route BB (10th Street) between Forum Drive and Stoltz Road – Sidewalk repair continues. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight Hours
Route 28 between Route PP and Columbia Road- Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 17 and Interstate 44 – Brush cutting will take place Wednesday, January 2 and Friday, January 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route A between Route 185 and Route T - Edge rut repair will take place Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
