UPDATED SCHEDULE - Several State Routes in Polk County CLOSED Week of Jan. 7
What: Polk County Routes B, WW, and Z closed in areas during the week of January 7 to allow MoDOT crews to replace deteriorating drain pipes
When/Where:
- 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, Polk County Route B between Route 13 and Polk County Route O north of Bolivar
- 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, January 10, Polk County Route WW between 68th Road and 57th Road west of Bolivar
- 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, January 11, Polk County Route Z in various locations north of Halfway
- Roads open at night
- Weather and/or construction delays could change the work schedule
Why: MoDOT crews replacing deteriorating drain pipes underneath the roads to keep water from pooling underneath and next to the roadway which could cause deterioration of the road bed
Traffic Impacts:
- Roads CLOSED only where crews are set up working
- Drivers will be able to get to driveways and entrances on either side of the work zones, but will not be able to travel through the work zones
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
